Like everyone else, I keep a calendar on my backup PC that dates back
10+ years.
The backup PC runs on WinXP so it's only natural that the calendar program (IDEALCAL)
still has online help that suggests backing up the program on a 3.5" diskette.
So, anyway, I was changing color graphics on my current IDEALCAL when it somehow defaulted and dumped every past event, every work reminder, every personal or work anniversary and wiped every day clean back through the the past ten years.
After thinking, "This sucks", I checked and sure enough - I still had a pulse, the sun was still shining outside, our dog was still alive upstairs and there was still wine on hand for this evening.
First thing I tried was a "system restore to previous date", but that failed 3 straight times.
Googling IDEALCAL, I actually found FAQ that helped me completely restore my calendar to where I was when it went into default dot wipe.
Now, as you can probably tell, I'm thoroughly up to date once again.
Good to be back, hello to all.
