I've been watching some soccer games on the new ACC Network Extra.

First point is that it is exciting to see this finally happen and have ESPN back it. I've watches some soccer games as well as some women's volleyball.

One observation I've had is that the quality of the production varies greatly from ACC venue to ACC venue.

The Syracuse Events look like they are being produced by Time Warner Cable. They are good quality productions.

Notre Dame and Virginia Tech events seem to be produced by already established streaming services run by the schools themselves, Watch NDTV and Hokie Vision? I saw a VT vs App State volleyball match last week.

The Pitt soccer games are just a camera a mile away from the field with no announcers, just the stadium announcers. The microphones pick up the wind. These are bad. The only benefit is that you can see the game. Work needs to be done here.

Louisville, UNC, and Duke seem to be getting ESPN productions like we had with ESPN3. These are what they all should become.
I don't know what UVA will be like. We don't have anything air for a few more weeks.

I'm hoping that this moves into the direction of consistency for all of these venues. This is where the schools will need to spend money on production.
