Tackles in league are much more vicious like the NFL in that you are trying

to stop the person from moving forward and getting the ball back. In union, you are trying to get the man down so you can poach the ball.

I love both, but would say Union is my preference just for the spectacle of it. This is the first year due to back surgery I have not been to Europe for a 6N match since the 90s. I am actually a member of a club in Ireland to secure tickets each year.

I am looking forward to the weekly Aviva game on NBC sports this year for free :)

But I put my levels of interest at:

World Cup - went last year to the UK twice for US games the first time around, and then the QFs in Cardiff where Ireland lost :( to Argentina

6N - Ireland, Ireland, Ireland

Pro 12 - Munster

European Cup Championship - Munster..but not this year :(

NRL - Dragons

Aviva - Saracens (went to the Aviva Championship in 2011 and saw the Sarries win for the first time. Great fans and crowd, plus Chris Wyles, so became a fan)

Rugby Championship - old guy talking now, but when they went for the money grab with more games and adding Argentina, it dropped for me

Super 15 - Currie Cup - always supported the Sharks
