What the Big Ten did is put a ramp period in place for 7 years, and then the Big Ten projected what the Big Ten thought that the revenue would be from the conference that each team came from in each year. So what Nebraska gets is what the Big Ten thought a Big XII team would get this year. Maryland gets what the Big Ten thought an ACC team would get this year. Rutgers gets what the Big Ten thought an AAC team would get this year.

They were close with Maryland, but rather off with the Big XII because the Big XII now pays 10 what 12 should be getting. They are also off with the AAC too, I think.
