UConn has shown the ability to win in football.

Randy Edsall had them winning the Big East as well as competing at the top of the Big East most years he was there. UConn went to the Fiesta Bowl. What they don't have is a long history at FBS level. But the drive for athletics at UConn is strong. Just look at all the championships.

Rentschler Stadium seats 40,000 today. It is designed to be increased to 50,000 easily and to also have the structure to grow to 60,000.

UConn is a school of 31,000 students, 18000 undergraduate. It is the flagship of one of the wealthier states in the country. The School has won 21 NCAA Championships in various sports including basketball. Louisville has only 3.

What I like about UConn has more to do with the market of Connecticut than football. I want the ACC to be the dominant conference in geographic regions of our footprint for our Channel. UConn helps that in New England.
