I take two positions on this


I don't like the idea of kicking them out at all, but I think the ACC will need to raise a bar, or the P5 conferences will do it across the board.

It is a hard road to hoe to call Wake a BCS level school, much less a P5 school. You know and I know if the ACC were to fold, the best Wake might do is the American or the Big East.

Second, we have alreadly set the trend for partial memberships. I like the idea of Navy for Lacrosse and Crew etc. The B1G has done it since WWII. I see no reason we need to not consider Wake for a partial membership like ND. Wake approached the conference 2 decades ago about pulling football out and staying in the conference. That was mid 1990's. Then it was all or nothing for the ACC.

It just makes little sense to have a P5 if the bar is so low that Temple and JMU would have no trouble meeting it.
