Some people are comfortable with debate and understand the difference between arguing a point and attacking a person, some are not. Sorry that it bothers you so much. I am secure in my position which is why I am open to the debate.

When someone states a position that controversial then of course they will be asked to justify their position. That's what message boards are for, to discuss in more than 140 characters. If we don't ask people to defend or justify their opinion then what are we going to discuss? It is not personal in that it is not about me and terry. That's why I'm not offended by you calling me out. It's about people discussing topics even when they disagree which I agree is great fun.

Now on to your points. I can appreciate wishing things hadn't changed. But, they have and the influence of reflected glory has been great for college football despite the corporate influence of conferences.

I was very clear that ND fans are free to enjoy their status. I do not feel they must join a conference. I think ND joining the ACC would be great but the ACC is fine without them. ND has no reflected glory to the ACC schools other than maybe BC.

I don't see a connection between not enjoying college football if you enjoy the current landscape and see conference championships as more than consolation prizes.
