How far back do we have to go to find a Hokie men's basketball team that was as good as this team is _expected_ to be this season?

In particular, I foresee putting on the game during Thanksgiving dinner (which, thankfully, is at my house this year) and needing an explanation along this lines of: "Look, this is the best VT team in at least 2 decades. I've been waiting a LONG time for this."
