Yet another sportswriter who doesn't remotely get it.

Boren isn't doing or saying anything by accident or without thought. He knows exactly what he is doing.

It's clear he wants to get OU out of the Big12 handcuffs - and everything he has said in the last year or so is with that long-term objective in mind. The sooner (no pun intended) he can assist in making that happen, the better from his perspective.
