I like that Boren is out there saying things. This writer thinks
he's making profound points, when he's really rehashing old news and tired arguments.
Houston and Cincy are hardly important additions. And if those two are the choices, it won't save the conference.
It also says in the article that Boran supports BYU and that the ISU Student Government decided to inject itself into the debate by voting "no" to BYU. First, I wonder how the self-righteous ISU SG would like it if OU and OkSt said "see ya later" to the BigXII? ISU would be in C-USA or equivalent in half-a-heartbeat. Second, BYU is the only school worth adding. And even then, I'm not saying the BigXII even need add BYU. But I will say, adding others without BYU would be a joke. And trust me, I'm no fan of BYU.
Lastly, it's self-evident that the BigXII is dysfunctional, mostly due to Texas. OU and Boren aren't the problem. But they do have options, and the rest of the BigXII would do well to recognize that. [Post edited by Maroon Baboon at 09/19/2016 6:11PM]
