Should I feel guilty for enjoying a little dose of Karma?
For this past weekends VT / ECU game, I took Amtrak from CT to DC on Friday, then back on Sunday; driving to and from the game with a friend on Saturday.
On the Amtrak back on Sunday, everyone was boarding and the announcement was made that "this is a very full train, please make all seats available. If you have something in the seat next to you, please clear it."
One woman across the aisle from me didn't...and since people boarding after that were too chicken to say "excuse me", she got the space.
Then at the first stop, the conductor asked her to clear the area. She kinda did, moving from the window to the aisle, leaving the window seat open, but now her bag was on the floor by the window seat. Yeah, the SEAT was open, but anyone wanting to sit there would still have to say excuse me for two things.
Finally, at Philadelphia she did move the bag even...but I guess only because she was getting off at the next stop in Trenton.
Then came the Karma moment. 25 seconds after she gets off, and 2 people take the seat, she runs back on looking for a red credit card that she thinks she dropped or left in the seat. Quick search, with the people who took the location helping, found nothing and the conductor hurried her off as the train needed to leave.
Should I feel guilty that I kinda enjoyed the universe getting a little payback on her selfishness?
