We've come a long way in recruiting from 4-5 years ago
when we had hardly any in-state connections and had to find players outside the U.S. I like that Kenny Brooks and staff are competing with the top women's programs for recruits. I honestly don't expect too much early success against the bigger name programs, but I believe Kenny will do better each year as the program gets stronger and gains more recognition. All of Whit Babcock's hires have brought recruiting to a higher level. Frank Beamer and staff did a good job recruiting until the very end of his coaching run when opposing coaches began using his age against him, but men's and women's basketball and lacrosse have seen an improvement in recruiting.
