Take a look at OSU's 2013 (pre-Ruts) schedule

and compare it to 2016. Check out the OOC in 2012. OSU's schedules have gotten better. B1G schools know they have control over the quality of their schedules, and OSU's have been better post-Ruts. Don't know about other B1G schools, but it's clear they swapped out FCS for Ruts. It's a wash.
