SEC already has aTm which is roughly 1.5 hours northwest of Houston...

and aTm is the traditional State / Land Grant University that the SEC desires. Whereas UH is more of a City / Commuter university. Not a bad school... but probably doesn't fit the SEC mold.

If 16+ team leagues are eminent, I still think there should be a P5. ACC, SEC, B1G, PAC-16 and a 5th conference for all the G5s or P5 leftovers that should belong in the picture. Maybe a combination of the MWC, AAC and some of the leftover Big XII schools. 80 schools in the P5 seems reasonable.
