I was up in Marquette, MI back in the early 2000s

and I attended a Northern Michigan ice hockey game. I knew that NMU played DI ice hockey and DII for all other sports, but it still kinda surprised me how much NMU charged for admission given it is a niche sport in college. I know Michigan also charges an admission for its hockey games, so I figure all the DI hockey schools do too. Given that the majority of the schools are located in states on or close to the Canadian border, it wouldn't surprise me if some of the programs have a decent size Canadian fanbase.
