Zero Trust: Inside Mizzou's move to the SEC
I'm not sure what the purpose is for this article other than to stick their tongue out at the Big XII. They felt like Texas and Oklahoma were just as bad then as they are today, and that David Boren and DeLoss Dodd's egos were unbearable then.
Missouri tried to get into the Big Ten, but they were turned away. I personally think this was a mistake by the Big Ten. Then Missouri pursued the SEC. Apparently the SEC doesn't pursue candidates. The SEC waits for candidates to pursue them. I guess this is true unless it is Florida State in 1991 when the SEC pursued hard and lost.
Interesting read, but the intentions are suspect. Hate to tell them if they cross Alabama to look for the same treatment as Texas and Oklahoma. [Post edited by HOO86 at 10/21/2016 05:51AM]
