Sure if teams at the top lose, it changes the whole picture.

I would think they want surging teams in November rather than stumbling teams for the playoffs.

I remember a time when Nebraska was Number 1 all year and lost the Big XII Championship on the last weekend one year and still got into the Championship Game because of biased AP voters. They got blown out in that game by Miami. It was embarrassing. I would hope that the Committee has more integrity than that.
