I'm one of those and you may be right. If PSU wins the B1G, owns head

to head with OSU, and the committee picks OSU over PSU, then they are saying that OSU's 3-1 record against the top 10 trumps what would be PSU's 2-1 record against the top 10; that OSU's additional win over Oklahoma and perhaps more importantly, PSU's loss to Pitt, trumps PSU's win over OSU and the conference championship.

So yes, color me absolutely surprised. And you would be exactly right, the committee would be pollsters acting like pollsters regardless of the anti-poll rhetoric on the CFP website and regardless of their criteria. That would indeed be good for ND independence.
