What's this?

The real scenario is

What happens between a 1 loss ND and a one loss conference champ - and this will end up like polls of old.

Undefeated ND goes (happened twice in about 40 years), one loss ND goes over almost all two loss teams.

If it takes another 20 years for a ND undefeated season and they lose out to one loss conference champs along the way - SOMETHING will change before the undefeated season. Plus recruiting will begin to suffer, today's top guys want to play for the championship, not just for a great tradition - that was different 40 years ago..
