Agree completely

and the answer to this maybe is what will determine the long term future of ND.

If they lose a squeaker to a top five - pretty good chance. If they lose to a team they should have beaten - probably not. If it's a mid range team, say a conference division winner, who knows?

If the committee does as instructed in the "rules" then the CCG winner should go breaking the tie, but you never know. This is the scenario that forces ND's hand. After a few seasons - If they make it at 11-1 over an 11-1 CCG winner they'll likely remain independent, if they don't then IMHO they'll either join a P4/5 conference or remain independent and be an Ivy type school in Athletics.

What if ND had been 10-2 this year and got in? -- East Cobb Hokie 12/05/2016 3:27PM
  Maybe at 11-1, no chance at 10-2 ** -- TerryD 12/05/2016 6:17PM

So at 11-1, who'd get bumped and why? -- East Cobb Hokie 12/05/2016 6:41PM
Maybe Washington, as they were #4 team... -- jesuisvtguy 12/06/2016 10:34AM
  I think they would be #2 or 3 at 11-1. EASILY. -- chuckd4vt 12/05/2016 7:54PM
  Wouldn't have happened. ** -- reestuart 12/05/2016 3:46PM
