VT admissions looks at the player's high school transcripts

to determine admission. Jerod Evans is a good example. He had grades enough to get admitted to the Air Force Academy but was injured and didn't care for the military life apparently. If so he would not be the first or last to prefer the non-military daily routine. So he transfers out and then to VT. Guessing other 4 year universities follow that same line of thinking. For that reason VT does not see a regular line of jucos being admitted regardless of their athletic ability.
