It will be interesting to see how open he is to remaining in the FCS

and playing in MVFC (typically just called MVC). It should be noted that the Missouri Valley Football Conference is a separate entity from the Missouri Valley Conference. Even though the HQ of the MVC and MVFC are both located in St. Louis, I believe they are located at different addresses. I am not sure how close they are located to each other. The article is right that the MVC is one of the strongest FCS conference. At least most FCS experts agree that the CAA and MVC are jockeying against each other to see who is the strongest FCS conference in a given year.
