NCAA Power Shift

An interesting point you are raising about Slive limiting infighting among SEC members about NCAA recruiting violations. I have never heard that before.

I have always just judged the decrease in NCAA investigations and subsequent stiff sanctions conducted against SEC members to the changing of power within the NCAA. I think the SEC & B1G have more power than the NCAA in a very important context these days. They can break the P-5 conferences away from NCAA jurisdiction at anytime. I hear the NCAA yearly makes a fortune on the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Does the NCAA want to say bye bye to all that?

That means the SEC Front Office & B1G Front Office decides who gets investigated & sanctioned no matter who the commissioner might be. Kentucky one & done Calipari runs around throwing cash everywhere and the big names in SEC football make strange last second flips out of nowhere on highly desired football recruits. The Ole Miss types still bite the dust though.
