Whatever Hokie fans desire
If the majority of Hokie fans want the ACC at this time and going into the future, that is certainly where VT should remain. Only a person with ulterior motives or ill judgement would wish otherwise.
I have been in Virginia many times but my only fan interest comes from close relatives that reside in NOVA. They are Hokie fans and would welcome the SEC. That doesn't make a majority though.
I came to this board over four years ago at the recommendation of a VT fan who responded to a remark I made on an SEC board. That was during the time when an ACC break-up seemed very possible to most everybody. I had stated I thought the Hokies were not a good fit in the SEC. The VT fan base probably didn't desire it. The Cavaliers would probably be the better choice from Virginia for the SEC.
The VT fan disagreed with that. He told me I did not know the VT fan base. He gave be a link to this board and told me I needed to learn. We both made cordial departing remarks and I came here.
I have always got more replies on this board like the one you just made than the one that VT fan promised years back. I always do wonder if he was just plain wrong while reading them??
Maybe he was not? Maybe you people are first just old dudes like me with just too much time on your hands. Secondly you are not Hokie fans just like me either. You are ACC fans from other schools, most likely from that basketball North Carolina clan. You patrol these board to keep anti-ACC thoughts at a minimum for your own pleasure.
That is not right, at least I state where my true allegiances align. Where anyone can walk out the door tomorrow with no fees or GORs. Now you tell me some more about real conference stability?
I wish I knew want VT fan really want. I don't think anyone will find it on this board. I don't think you can judge fan passions ever on these internet boards. The scope of fans here is just too limited in percentages.
