Talk of a "G5" playoff. Stupid, IMHO.

Go back 20 years and nearly all the G5 schools were in FCS (then I-AA). Then they got greedy and moved up to I-A, many running their programs in the red or at the expense of exorbitant student fees. And now some are tired of getting left out of the national conversation so they want their own playoff, sort of like the "NIT" of football.

This is dumb - acknowledge your place in the pecking order and if you want to play for a championship, go back to FCS and dominate down there.

Yes, I'm biased. I think there are far too many FBS teams, many of which have no business being at that level.
