or void their GoR's before they expire, the broadcast rights of everyone who signed were sold to and are owned by the networks until they expire. ESPN would have to agree to the move of ND to the B1G.

After 2036, sure, your scenario becomes more feasible.

My point is that if the Big 12 dissolves, this will be old, old news by then. Four P conferences and 4 playoff spots is functional death to ND independence at the P level regardless of the business model. Athletes compete to win. Top athletes will not attend a school with no access to a championship.
