I'm as anti-GoR and pro-loophole kind of guy as you'll find on this board.


I also think your thoughts are very interesting...far from impossible. I just think it is much easier after 2036 than before.

The GoRs don't really have conference-related loopholes once the "rights" are sold. All of the GoR's are for the purpose of fulfilling specific media contracts. That is the reason they exist. It is why the signature of each school is on the document.

If you and your family members sell me a right of way for 99 years, it's mine for the duration of the terms of the sale, no matter whether your family disbands or not. Your sister can't un-sign scot-free just because she wants to let her new commune friends camp out there.

The ACC could unanimously vote to kill their GoR tomorrow but ESPN/Raycom still would own broadcast rights for every home game for every signatory to the prior GoR in every sport through 2036. Could they be persuaded to alter the terms? For the right price, perhaps. So if that is your point, then I can see it.
