If the ACC doesn't exist anymore, then does the GoR still apply?

At least it is my understanding that ESPN's and Raycom's contracts are with the ACC, not the individual schools. Also, the individual schools signed their rights away to the conference instead of directly to the respective networks.

It would be no different than if the Big XII disbanded prior to its GoR expiring in 2025. I know there have been multiple discussions about the Big XII disbanding and the impact it would have on the GoR if it happened prior to 2025. I thought the popular opinion was that the GoR would be voided if the Big XII didn't exist anymore. Is that not right? If that is the case with the Big XII, then it should also be applicable to the other power conferences with GoRs because the ACC, Big Ten, Pac 12, and SEC would cease to exist.

I do agree that it would be easier and clean for the changes to occur after all the GoRs expire. I am not sure the schools will be willing to wait given how things seem to be rapidly changing in recent years (relatively speaking). If the schools have to wait for all the GoRs to expire, then they may miss their window of opportunity to strike while the iron is hot.
