I've always thought that the security line (pre TSA) at a busy airport is probably one of the most vulnerable targets there is for a terrorist. In an emergency it would be a nightmare to scatter.....people are basically trapped with all the other people, large luggage, and line ropes. A bomb or even someone who'd never fired a gun before could do some serious damage there before security could take them out.
