Being 2nd or 3rd in every computer rank is certainly what they had going


If one is going to say they were "unequivocally" top 4, then that's the heart of the argument.

However, those same computers had OSU and Washington solidly ahead of Clemson. Clemson, in fact, wasn't even in the in the top 4 in 9 of the 15 computer rankings used in the Massey composite.

The committee however, had Clemson second. So either they use the computers or they don't. I think the Committee got caught up in Meyer/Harbaugh mania.
