Seems to me that joining the ACC would help ND football

There have been disagreements on this board in the past, but I do believe that participation in the ACC could help the culture at ND. First, it would give you two goals that you don't currently have: a division championship, and a conference championship. At ND it seems that you only have all, or nothing. Maintaining focus, moral and energy in that environment must be difficult.

Secondly, the top end of the ACC would set a bar by which your coaches and staff could be measured on a regular basis. Iron strengthens iron....
