We have more very good players than the Delaney/Allen days
But I don't think we have anyone on the court these days that equals either of them. The problem is that we had to play Delaney 36-37 minutes a game, every game. And similar for Allen when he wasn't in foul trouble. They got worn down and the guys behind them were a clear drop off. Dorenzo was a good player when he was on (probably about on par with the guys we have now).
So to summarize, we had better quality of players then, but we have a better quantity of solid players now.
