On the slime scale, got to remember there is a huge difference between

programs that have "boosters" working on the outside, and those programs (UNC) that have coaches actually funneling money (i.e. making payoffs) to the players. The latter are the slimiest by a clear margin. At least the former process gives programs plausible deniability. Unfortunately the latter also accompanied academic fraud and accreditation probation.
