I'm excited about the future....


I was just looking at our roster for 2017-18. We'll miss Sidney Cook's rebounding and her ppg. We'll miss Vanessa Panousis' outside shooting and reliable FT shooting. Someone is going to have to come in and replace Sami Hill's defense and hustle. I'm just excited to see a healthy roster and 5 players 6'2" or taller. Chanette and Regan will be juniors. I'm looking forward to seeing how talented transfers Michelle Berry, Erin Garner, and a healthy Diandra DaRosa are. I hope Rachel Camp is healthy because she showed lots of potential last season. I like what I've seen from Kaela Kinder. I'm hoping Kendyl Brooks' defense improves and she can replace Vanessa's 3-pt. shooting. Freshman Aisha Sheppard is a talented SG. Celeste Akoro and Sierra Votaw give us 2 more 6'2" forwards. I expect Kenny to sign 1 to 2 more players this spring. I'm hoping we can find another talented PG but we may have to wait until 2018 for that. The future looks bright. Meanwhile, let's just continue to win and get to the NCAA's this March!
