A geographic fit that brings regional rivalries with it is best.


Texas has no regional rivalry with anyone in the ACC. To add Texas the ACC would have to bring regional rivalries with Texas to make that work, and I don't know if the ACC wants to grow that large.

The geographic fits for the ACC that bring regional rivalries already established are West Virginia, Navy, and Connecticut. A case could be made for Cincinnati, but I'd put them after the other three. Outside of them, we'd have to pull a SEC or B1G school which I think has very low odds.
