If the Big XII is going to kick Baylor out, then could it have any

impact on TCU's status in the conference? I know TCU has not done anything yet to warrant being asked to leave the conference. However, your argument for inviting Houston to join the conference got me thinking about whether the conference is starting to worry about its own mortality and whether it is in the conference's best interest to pull a reverse Big East as a matter of survival. I know the conference could keep TCU as the token private school, but it is unclear how much the Big XII needs TCU in order to survive.

If the Big XII is going to consider Houston, then could UTSA come into play too? UTSA is a public school, currently plays in the Alamodome, and I believe San Antonio is one of the bigger TV markets. I would the conference may find those things appealing especially if they are considering Houston. While Houston has had great success under Herman, it is unclear if the Cougars can maintain it under Applewhite. It is possible Houston could return to being another Kansas regardless of conference affiliation. If that happens, then Houston still that appealing to the Big XII especially when considering TDECU Stadium only seats 40K compared to the Alamodome which seats 65-72K?
