That has to be weighted against stretching the geography.


For the most populous state, the ACC should bring in a Texas team or add another Florida team. South Florida would bring in a large metro area.

That has to be weighed against the importance of regional rivalries. I've thought about it and came to the opinion that ACC teams playing WVU will get more fan interest and athlete interest than playing USF or TCU, Baylor, Houston, or Texas Tech. And Texas fans have no passion about playing any ACC teams.

I just get back to the importance of regional rilvaries. Fans from ACC schools are just going to have more interest in what happens against WVU. Half of our league is former Big East, and they all know WVU. In the end it just is more fun to watch games the fans care about than ones they don't against teams in populous states far away. It affects recruiting. It affects everything.
