I thought Weiss was fired for academics

I don't remember the details, but I thought Weiss was fired for recruiting international players who were not serious students. They seem to have left after one semester.

Based on what you say, I guess some of the international players took academics seriously. Still, if the players you mention stayed at VT and graduated, why did they only play soccer one year?
