In your comments on KB I agree 100%, he needs time and in the end the numbers will speak for themselves. My comments have just been that this season, obviously specifically in the ACC, he has underachieved. No one wants to hear that but right now they are tied for 12th in the ACC behind UVA, WF and GT. They have 3 ACC wins. I remember Brooks saying in his press conference that non conference doesn't matter, only in league wins do. Basically he was saying Wolff's 18 wins were the result of a soft nc schedule. I look forward to hearing his comments after the season when he has the exact same season and how he spins it. He does have a short bench but every College coach in the country deals with injuries and obstacles and in the end they get paid a lot of money to figure it out.

Also my comments to KB were not in defense of Wolff. Ultimately that is over and KB is the coach now. My comments have been what has been happening this year. In the end Wolff got 5 years and Whit made a change. We can debate the merits of it all over again but it is over and done with. I do think year 4 clearly did not help his cause after having a good season the year prior and made last year basically a make the NCAA tournament or your out. With regards to injuries or short bench, every coach deals with them, Wolff had to redshirt Magarity her freshman year (year 4) and also dealt with a rash of injuries that led to that season. However in the end no one remembers anything about that year other then the record.

I also agree with your thoughts on recruiting, VT is never (or very rarely) going to get McDonald's AA but Wolff's last recruiting class with Hicks and Koshuta (though she has since left) was a top 25 in country and both were top 100 players in VA. Now it took him 3 years to get there so it does take time. KB should be able to get those type of classes in time. He missed out on the girl in Roanoke to Georgia, hopefully he can keep those kids home in future.
