I think winning records against the SEC and B1G is keeping up just fine.


The ACC had better records against both in the regular season and the bowls this past year.

These are Universities. These aren't professional leagues. The NCAA division 1 requires 15 men's and women's programs. I think the Power 5 should require 20. And having 20 while starving every program except football isn't acceptable either. Neither is starving football while promoting everything else like Duke did for a while.

Several of the major conferences in the east don't believe in wasting money on football. The Ivy League, Big East, and Atlantic 10 don't even bother. There is a big market for other things outside of football. The new television arrangements provide opportunity to tap into that. Football pays the most, but other things are out there too.

The Power 5 conferences provide the resources for its members to participate. I think they should.
