It seems unlikely that we keep all KD's assistants

Coaches seem to always try to bring at least part of their old staff with them when they move on. Robie's an east coast guy (wrestled at Edinboro) and seems to be the favorite for the HC role, so I think he seems most likely to stay around. St. John is, like KD, an Iowa native and a Hawkeye alum. Unless there's some good old fashioned rivalry hate there, I think he's pretty likely to follow KD to Ames. As a younger guy just starting out in his coaching career, being attached to a star in the coaching world and a traditionally strong program is probably the right career choice. Zadick seems like a toss-up to me. He also wrestled for the Hawkeyes, but hails from Montana, so I'm not sure if the call of "home" will be there for him. I guess we'll know in about 3 or 4 weeks, but I think the best we'll do is to keep 2 of the assistants (Robie and Zadick). If that happens, I'll call that a victory.
