and wish him nothing but the best. Met him when he was new at Christiansburg and didn't realize he had been the famed Grundy coach or NCAA champ in his day - he just humbly ran the summer Commonwealth Games tournament and even came out of retirement one year to compete in freestyle giving up one takedown but coming back with a fall. Oddly enough I still have the memory of the Olympic gold medalist he brought into town to shake hands with all the kids and get autographs (we won't finish the rest of that story).

He's certainly built a great thing at VT, saving our program from the dead. How often do you see practically half of his NCAA AAs coming from the youth/HS pipeline he built in years past?

New challenges certainly await but very interested in seeing what happens. I hope to make more trips down to Moss and see such great performances.
