I'd like to see Mook to Safety alongside Edmunds. Devon Hunter to Whip/NB.

As great as Mook has been at nickel back, he's still a DB playing LB at times. Bud needs a versatile athlete with size at Whip that can stay on the field no matter the matchup, and Devon Hunter seems to fit that mold. With that being said, the secondary will be 110% next season even with Chuck Clark leaving. DBs Ladler, Rodgers, Quillen, Floyd, and others waiting in the wings that have a lot of ability.

DE this spring will be interesting without Mihota and Hill. I'm really excited about Gaines. Fullwood looked good in the offseason but just didn't have enough burst at DE (hence his move to DT). Him and Taylor, along with Gaines will have a lot of reps. Then of course you have starters Tim Settle and Ricky Walker, which may be the best DT tandem VT has ever said – yeah i said it! Emphasis on "may be". What's even better is that VT still has at least two more seasons with them, assuming they don't make that leap. Which I can make a case that's a good thing for our defense if that happens after this season.

By the summer time, this could end up being one of the most talented defenses Bud Foster's had in some time.

Now offensively, losing Ford and Evans is huge. I do think Bucky is replaceable since he played over 90% of the time as WR. VT just needs to find an outside WR, and according to CC and other gurus have mentioned the 6'2" 757 freshman WR Phillip Patterson looks like he's the next talented receiver. Move Cam Phillips outside in place of Ford's spot. Phillips take over the opposite outside WR, and I'm a fan of CJ Carroll. I think he's capable of a lot more. Think he could be a productive slot guy, but probably not the ideal size Fuente wants. Who emerges as that 3, 4, or 5th receiver? freshman Caleb Farley maybe?

Who takes that H-back role that we thought would be Bucky, but end up being Sam Rogers' role in Fuente's offense. Maybe Chris Cunningham steps up? Dalton Keene is already on campus and could jump in as a true freshman in the spring.

At QB and RB, I'm putting my money on Josh Jackson and Travon McMillian again. Jackson just needs the reps this spring, and the competition will be a beauty to watch with the talent already on the roster at QB. McMillian seems to get more jacked every offseason. Two issues he has, pass blocking and being decisive running between the tackles. He's capable of leading the pack, but needs to be more consistent and reliable as a runner and pass blocker. He may not get back to 2014 numbers, but I think he's the starter coming out of spring.

and of course the OL. I keep reading how much Fuente likes what he sees in the development in his offensive line. That's always a good sign, and I can't argue with what last year's group was able to do last season under Vice. Let's hope the younger guys get even better and VT can finally build some stability there with a unit that's had multiple OL coaches in the past several years. Sending positive vibes to the big men up front.

Just my three cents.
