ACC Tournament Resumes and why you shouldn't be so worried:

We'll forgo UNC, Louisville, Duke, FSU, and ND. They all have 20+ wins and 10+ conference wins so far. They're locks.

Not Included: Pitt, Clemson, NCSt and BC. They do not have records to cut it close.

UVA: 18-9 (8-7) RPI 20 Great Wins: @Louisville, @ND, Louisville. Good Wins: vProvidence, @Cal, Wake, @Clem, VT. Neutral Court Record: 2-0 Away wins: 6 (4 in Conf).
UVA is in, I just wanted to include them since they have a similar record to VT.

Miami: 19-8 (9-6) RPI 37 Great Wins: UNC, @UVA Good Wins: VT and Clemson 7 of 8 losses are to RPI Top 40. Neutral Court record: 2-2 Away wins: 4 (3 in Conf). Miami is in.

Georgia Tech: 15-12 (7-8) RPI 88 Great Wins: @VCU, UNC, FSU, ND Good Wins: Clemson Bad Sub-100 Losses: Ohio, NCSt. Neutral Court Record: 0-0 Away Wins: 2 GT just hasn't played a good schedule, and they've whiffed on a couple games. Had they won against those Sub-100 teams, they'd be well in the picture at 17-10 (8-7) with an RPI in the 60s. Instead, they're out.

Wake Forest: 16-12 (7-9) RPI: 40 Great Wins: None Good Wins: Miami Neutral Court Record: 1-1 Away Wins: 5 (2 in Conf.) Wake Forest has a lackluster schedule. They've won most of the games they should, and lost most of the games they should. Nothing special. Their record isn't going to get them in without a deep ACCT run.

The two I really wanted to look at because of all the chatter from last night: Virginia Tech and Syracuse

VT: 19-8 (8-7) RPI: 36 Great Wins: Duke, UVA Good Wins: @Michigan, @Clemson, Clemson Sub-100 Losses: @NCSt. Neutral Court Record: 2-1 Away Wins: 3 (2 in Conf.)

Syracuse: 17-12 (9-7) RPI: 78 Great Wins: FSU, UVA, Duke Good Wins: Monmouth, Miami, Wake, Clemson Sub-100 Losses: vUConn, St. John's Sub-200 Losses: @BC Neutral Court Record: 0-2 Away Wins: 2 (2 in Conf.)

Of those 6 teams, Syracuse is the only one with a Sub-200 loss currently. They have a .000 WP on a neutral court, and played exactly 1 true road game OOC. Their RPI is dreadful compared to most not named GT.

Syracuse is T-4th out of 6 on my list of named teams to get into the tournament My Order is UVA, Miami, VT, Syracuse & Wake, and GT with a gap between Miami and VT and then between VT and Syracuse/Wake. Syracuse will beat out Wake because 'Syracuse'. The only way Syracuse will get in the tournament without VT is brand recognition, and there's not much else you can point out.

Also, the ACC is not getting more than 9 teams in at this point. I just don't see it unless someone runs the tournament.
