Thanks for the input. Realistically, I wouldn't go one over minimum of 14.


I would pick the 14 that we are most competitive in, and I most certainly wouldn't sponsor any of the more expensive sports. Ice hockey would be a not go from the get go.

I would run mens and womens track, mens and womens bball, mens and womens soccer, mens and womens swimming, baseball, softball, volleyball, field hockey, and football.

Get your 14 and call it a day. And if your college has a particular affinity for a certain sport, then compete in that.

And of course, these athletics departments won't make money. They will just reinvest in those sports that count. And VT could THEN afford nap rooms and such for football and bball. I don't like it, but that's the way the game is being played.
