When done properly, one of the most beneficial lifts for overall
body strength. Much more beneficial than isolation movements such as curls etc... The core is benefits the most from it.
At 52 it is still one of my main workout components.
All of the olympic type of lifts are tremendous for keeping your overall body fit.
