I guess my question is why at this point?

What is different today than at the end of last year? I can't imagine that whatever the reason for not going in another direction after last season has somehow gone away now.

I'm not saying he is the right answer, but obviously there were reasons that he was kept and that plan/vision has had little chance to change since then. If at the end of the season, when there has been an opportunity to see the plan being executed, that's a more realistic conversation.
