Diversity has very little to do with it....

It's youth spreading their wings just like they did when I graduated 27 years ago. A huge majority of folks bolted for Atlanta in 1990. It seemed like the place to be back then for many young Hokies. It seems like a lot of folks who moved out of state moved back to Virginia after sowing their oats after 5 or 10 years.

At some point, a good portion of these "diverse" young "free thinkers" that originated from Virginia will come back home. And biology will take over and they will eventually have families of their own. A 25-year old's mindset changes very quickly in 5 years. There are several millenial generation kids where I work whose views on life are changing before my eyes. It's the reality of growing up, growing old and having different responsibilities.
