There were rumblings about FCS post season a recently as last year.

The AD at Yale wants to reward the football student athletes with post season play just like Yale rewards all other sports programs it has with access to post season play. It makes little sense to single them out and limit their participation. I make the same argument for Notre Dame football players who are denied conference post season. They go to bowls, but it's not the same.

The original intent was to level the playing field with the league was formed, and to limit the schedule of Ivy League teams to just the league round robin dropping national competition. Like I mentioned Penn used to play the big boys. They had to give it up to be in the Ivy League.

But this is 2017. Why would the Ivy League want to live in a shell that no one sees into anymore while all of the other top academics are creating a sports brand like Duke, Stanford, etc.
