Could conference refereeing affect how the ACC competes overall??
Quote from ESPN article:
"The league isn't very tough," said one ACC assistant. "Too much finesse. You have to be tough to win in the NCAA tourney."
Does this mean the referees called games too tightly? If yes, then does that lead to less physically aggressive or less toughness?
Article says ACC teams were overrated- I don't agree with that, but I wonder if teams got used to a specific tolerance of play that differed from how refs generally called games in the Big East or Big 10 for example. [Post edited by reconhokie at 03/20/2017 01:58AM]
